Enlarged male breasts can be reduced by liposuction and/or by cutting out excess glandular tissue. Surgery may be performed alone or in conjunction with lipoplasty. There may be scarring around the nipple from this procedure, but this will fade over time. The usual scar is on the lateral chest wall.
Healing:
There will be some post-operative bruising, swelling, and burning sensation. To assist in the healing process, the patient will wear an elastic pressure garment (vest) for three to six weeks
