Who is a candidate: Anyone with skin damage related to the sun, accumulated uneven skin pigmentation, scars, or acne.

Procedure: A chemical peel is a nonsurgical procedure used to remove the outer layer of your skin, which shows pigmentation that is superficially located in the epidermis. This will improve the texture in the skin, resulting in clearer skin for promoting cell growth and improving the complexion. A variety of chemicals are used in various combinations to achieve the desired goal.

Healing: Recovery depends on the type of peel. Healing time can range from 1 to 2 days for superficial peels and 7 to 10 ten days if the peels penetrate deeper layers.
