| Who is a candidate: |
There is no age limit, but the person must be in good health and wish to physically enhance the appearance of the neck. |

| Procedure: |
The neck lift is a less invasive alternative to a face-lift. Achieving the desired result may involve the removal of excess fat, skin, or reduction of the vertical platysma bands in the anterior neck. There is usually less bruising, less down time, and less swelling of the face. |

| Healing: |
Recovery ranges from 1 to 2 days of down time to as long as 14 days. The final result will be apparent at about 3 months. Drains may or may not be used, depending on what is necessary for the treatment. |
