Hair Removal:	Special handpieces are used which filter light from different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Each band of the spectrum has a wavelength that is ideal for a specific treatment, such as hair reduction, sunspot removal, and acne treatment. The hair removal handpieces direct pulses of light into the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and converted to heat. The heat then loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair. Pulsed light systems and lasers are very similar, but pulsed light systems provide a much larger treatment window than most lasers. This spreads light over a wider area of skin and allows faster coverage of the skin and quicker treatments. Any area can be treated except around the eyes. This includes the upper lip, face, neck, underarms, bikini line, legs, chest, and back.

Photofacials:	This process offers comfortable and effective treatment of sun-damaged skin and visible veins. The photofacial handpiece emits pulses of light into the skin which are absorbed by the pigment in the sunspots and the blood in visible vessels and converted to heat. The heat destroys the cells that create the pigment and shrinks the vessels.
